A hidden gem in the heart of John Innes Park SW19 is one of the finest bowling greens to be found in London - south of the Thames. The Green is the home ground of both the Merton Park Bowling Club, and the Merton Park Ladies Bowls Club. New members - be they young, elderly, novices or veterans, will find a warm welcome at these two friendly clubs. (Persons under 16 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
Both Clubs compete at three levels of competitions : Internal, Local District, and County; at weekends and midweek. So, being selected to play is rarely a problem, whatever standard you play. The 2010 season starts on Thursday 22nd April.
Access to the Green from Mostyn Road at the east side of the Park: just follow the well sign-posted path, keeping the brick wall to your right.
